History of FRTV
The afternoon of September 11, 2001, Martin Grube was in a Virginia Beach Department Fire Station. On that day, terrorists crashed two hijacked jet airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, NY. The plane crashes resulted in significant fires in both Towers, taking the lives of many fire fighters, EMS personnel, and bystanders.
Martin then realized the need for a media outlet dedicated to First Responders that provided efficient training, communication, and news. Determined to create greater fire safety and awareness, he began working on the concept of Fire Rescue TV.
